Question: Why should I use a copy shop instead of a print shop?

Answer: There are several advantages to a copy shop over a print shop.

  • For jobs of 3,000 or less (when dealing with one original), copying may be more cost effective.

  • There is no ink to dry with copying, so there is faster turn-around.

  • Jobs with a bunch of staples, paper clips, and folds can only be copied.

  • Color copying in moderate numbers (fewer than 1000, generally) can be a cost effective (and time-effective!) alternative to printing.

  • Print shops have their benefits though. Some of the things we are not equipped to do are:

  • Business cards

  • High volume full color fliers, brochures, etc.

  • Anything in very high quantity with any color, even text.

  • Copy onto a highly-glossy paper; toner doesn't adhere very well to glossy stock.

We have outlined some of the differences here, however nothing is set in stone. We urge you to consider Copy One if there is any question. Even if we can't help you, we may be able to point you in the right direction or recommend a reputable and applicable business.
